Nic Aldous: Osteomyologist
Nic Aldous has been practicing Physical Medicine for the past 20 years. In 2000 he became a Member the Association of Osteomyologist (MAO) and has recently been awarded a Fellowship of the Association.
Prior to this Nic gained extensive knowledge of physical exercise, and in particular remedial exercise for back pain sufferers, while pioneering the concept of the modern Health Club during the 1970’s and 80’s. Initially as joint owner of Gym&Trim, Ipswich and subsequently as owner of The Fitness Habit also in Ipswich.
With this background, his training in Physical Therapy and his continual professional development with the Association of Osteomyologists, Nic has developed a unique method of treating back, neck and shoulder pain, together with many other associated musculoskeletal problems including muscle pain and trapped nerves. Nic’s treatment programmes are especially effective in cases where symptoms such as headache, sciatica, leg pain , arm pain ‘pins and needles’ or numbness are factors.
A large part his success lies in the use of Theraflex, which has proved especially successful in giving back pain relief when dealing with long term chronic pain and the underlying causes of acute pain. However, it is the way that he combines this revolutionary back pain treatment with other physical therapies that truly makes his method unique.
Presently, as a director and therapist, Nic works at The Complementary Medicine Centre, Hartismere Hospital, Castleton Way, Eye, Suffolk, IP23 7BH and has another practice in Norwich.
